Dark Utter Damnation

Stopped in the Chocolate Octopus store today and told Vic, the owner and chocolate maker that I was ready for a new taste sensation. "Try the Dark Utter Damnation!" "You'll love it!" he said. He was right on the money - it's become my new favorite. It's hard to describe how perfectly luscious it is... layered squares of dark chocolate surrounding a smooth, soft, very sensual layer of dark chocolate. Yum. I hunger for more.

Pineapple Jelly

"Have one of those chocolate jellies," I told myself when I flew back into Columbus yesterday...and the pineapple fruit pictured on top welcomed me home. Mmmm, very nice. Distinctly different from the raspberry - the pineapple's barely sweet flavor stands up well to the luscious handmade chocolate...what's not to like?

New Raspberry Jelly Chocolates

Hey... in my mind there is nothing like an excellent fresh raspberry coated with melt in your mouth chocolate (dark or milk, I'll savor either one!) but...the other day I threw caution to the wind and selected one of the new raspberry jellies sitting in the candy case at the Chocolate Octopus in the airport...a favorite stopping place of mine. Delightful surprise! Excellent marriage of smooth dark chocolate enveloping a mouthwatering sweet/tart raspberry jam... Go for it!
